WHEN DID YOU START AND WHAT WERE YOUR FIRST DUTIES?

I started at Euroports while still a student at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences. My first work practice was in the accounting department in the summer of 2010. When the payroll software changed, I transferred to the payroll department in May 2011 and since then have worked as the payroll accountant of the stevedores.

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB ENTAIL AT PRESENT?

As a payroll accountant, I am responsible for the payment of wages to our workers as well as for statistical reporting and dealings with authorities. Together with the other payroll accountants we provide advice on payroll-related matters.

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR WORK?

The most important thing about my work is to ensure that wages are paid on time and correctly. The characteristics required of a payroll accountant include precision, diligence, meticulousness, service orientation, and a good memory.

WHY DO YOU LIKE WORKING AT EUROPORTS?
