The Kanalinhelmi Medical Center, in collaboration with Euroports, has opened a new occupational health station in the Rauma port area. The health station serves the staff of Euroports' companies operating in Rauma, but the service may later be expanded to other companies operating in the port as well.
"We are pleased with the collaboration with Euroports and want to provide employees with high-quality, smooth, and easily accessible occupational health services. The occupational health services are managed by a dedicated team that works in close collaboration both at the port and at Kanalinhelmi Medical Center on Nortamonkatu. With the new office, we are bringing services closer to the company and its employees, and we also offer remote consultations," say the occupational health doctors Mika Virtala and Eero Kitinoja.
Kanalinhelmi offers comprehensive occupational health services, including consultations with occupational health doctors and nurses, occupational physiotherapy and occupational psychology services, as well as laboratory and other workplace wellbeing services. Sari De Meulder, the Managing Director of Euroports Finland is excited about the launched collaboration.
"This is a dream that has come true after many years. We have partnered with a local provider, which allows us to offer our employees healthcare services through the general practitioner model."
The new occupational health station is expected to improve the accessibility of occupational health services and enhance the collaboration between Euroports and occupational health service provider. Its location in the port area brings services closer to the employees and also gives Kanalinhelmi's staff the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the industry, thereby gaining a better understanding of the requirements of our various job tasks.
