I am Petteri Sammalisto and started as Commercial Director at Euroports Finland on 31 March 2022. Logistics has always been close to my heart, and I have worked in the industry for 35 years. Before joining Euroports, I was CEO of Hangö Stevedoring and currently serve as the chairman of the board. 

When I was younger, I lived near a harbour, and it was always fascinating to see what was going on behind the fences and who was operating there. I fell in love with cargo during my first year of studies, when I got a summer job at a stevedoring company. My position was later made permanent under the condition that I graduate from university, which I credit to my former boss, Hans Martin. In my perspective, this principle has also characterised my own career: I take my colleagues into account, strive to understand their and the company's needs and work with them to find the best solutions.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active and spending time in nature as much as possible, and I want future generations to have the same opportunity. In nature, I also get to pursue my second passion, photography. 

The most important tasks as Commercial Manager are to support the operations of existing customers and to develop new customer solutions and innovations to meet the needs of both existing and new customers, thereby leading sales to achieve defined goals. I get to work with a highly skilled sales team, and we will do everything we can to meet your needs in the best way possible and to find solutions to your challenges. We want to lighten your burden.
