Many employees at Euroports have started their journey with us through summer jobs. This was also the case for Janina Laine, who originally joined Euroports as a summer trainee working as a Forwarding Agent. Thanks to her positive summer work experience, she was later offered the opportunity to work part‑time alongside her master’s studies as a Claims Handler, managing cargo-related claims at our Hanko office. Through an internal recruitment process, Janina transitioned to her current role overseeing Claims Management for the entire Euroports Finland organization at the end of 2022.
“I was offered a permanent position in December 2022, while I was still completing my studies. I graduated with a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration in the spring of 2023. I have now been working as a Claims Handler at Euroports Finland for almost two years.”
According to Janina, working in Claims Management at Euroports is both diverse and interesting.
“As a Claims Handler, I am responsible for investigating and processing cargo-related claims, as well as carrying out development projects to improve operational quality and prevent damages. My work involves close cooperation with various parts of the organization, our customers, and the insurance company as I support operations in claims handling and in reducing the number of incidents.”
Janina recommends Euroports as an employer for students and graduates.
“I’ve really enjoyed working at Euroports. It’s a large group with good opportunities for career development and a wide range of career paths for students.”
