On April 25th, Euroports Finland participated in the annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The purpose of the day was to remind us of the importance of safety in our daily work and to highlight it as one of our core values.
"Safety is one of the cornerstones of our daily actions and it is vital that we follow basic safety principles and integrate them into everything we do. Through good common practices, we ensure that our working environment remains safe for all employees", says Jarmo Kivi (Director Technical Services & QHSE).
This year the main theme of the Global Safety Day was "Back to Basics". During the day, information sessions were held at each Euroports Finland location, where staff were introduced to the "Euroports Life Saving Rules". During these events, safety improvements were openly discussed, and staff committed to following our safety principles.
"The Life Saving Rules are common practices that are essential to our daily operations. These practices aim at minimizing risks and preventing potential accidents," says Jarmo Kivi. The introduction of the rules was an integral part of the Global Safety Day.
The successful Safety Day further strengthened Euroports Finland's commitment to safety and its development at all our sites.
