This summer, we are employing a total of 77 summer workers at our terminals! One of them is Evi-Maria Heininen, who works as a stevedore in Rauma and says she enjoys her summer job at Euroports.
“I’ve worked in Rauma and in the port industry for over 10 years, so Euroports is a familiar place to me. I currently live in Muonio, but my adult children and family live here in Southern Finland. During the winter, I work as a guide in the tourism sector, and I thought it would be nice to spend the summer working here.”
Evi-Maria applied for the summer job through Euroports’ website.
“My tasks include manual and machine work in stevedoring. Mostly, I’ve been operating some kind of machinery daily. Lately, I’ve been driving a terminal tractor in the container area. I’ve also worked on ship loading with a large roll machine. The rolls have been loaded either onto a cassette or a lift. I’ve also unloaded train wagons using a small machine in the warehouses.”
Evi-Maria, who enjoys working in the port, praises the work atmosphere at Euroports.
“I’m really happy and grateful for my summer job at Euroports. It’s been wonderful to work with old colleagues and also nice to meet new ones. Everyone here is friendly, pleasant, and helpful. This applies to the entire Euroports staff. Thanks to them, my workdays run smoothly.”
