Euroports has signed the United Nations\u2019 Global Compact initiative and supports the initiative\u2019s ten principles concerning human rights, working life, environment and the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are committed to promoting the sustainable development objectives set by the UN, which meet the expectations of our stakeholders and which we can have the greatest impact on. We review the progress of our objectives annually and share the results with our partners and customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cResponsible conduct and sustainable development are not about speed, but endurance. We can achieve our goals through daily actions. In order to minimise environmental effects, we have implemented many concrete measures, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>introduction of new technology and optimisation of operations (warehouses and internal transfers)<\/li><li>procurement of two Mantsinen 200 hybrid cranes<\/li><li>gradual transition to a controlled LED lighting system in warehouses<\/li><li>use of renewable fuel in working machinery<\/li><li>improved and more efficient waste management and recycling in all locations<\/li><li>the first electric cars have been ordered for internal transport&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe principles of responsibility and sustainable development are present in everything we do. In service production, we focus on reducing carbon emissions from combustion of fossil fuels and minimising our own environmental effects.
